Independent British alternative-music festival 2000trees has revealed the first performers for its twentieth-anniversary edition, scheduled for July 7–10, 2027 at Upcote Farm near Cheltenham. The announcement attracted enough attention to disrupt the festival's website, providing organisers with an unusually visible demonstration of audience enthusiasm.
New Found Glory will headline with two special performances, including a main-stage appearance and a deeper-cuts set in the festival's Forest area. The concerts will also celebrate the band's thirtieth anniversary. Other major additions include The Menzingers, who will perform a tenth-anniversary celebration of After The Party, and a reunion appearance from British alternative-rock group Reuben.
The lineup also features Mannequin Pussy, Creeper, Fever 333, Chalk, Bayside, Vower and Lonely The Brave, the latter returning with original vocalist Dave Jakes. Cheltenham post-hardcore band Crooks will play their first concert since 2016, while INME will revisit the festival's earliest years with a special anniversary performance. The Revival Tour, curated by Chuck Ragan, will present a dedicated stage featuring Brian Fallon and Dave Hause.
Festival organiser James Scarlett has emphasised that 2000trees remains independently operated by the original six friends responsible for establishing the event. That continuity is increasingly significant in a festival industry experiencing considerable consolidation and rising operating costs. Apparently the most effective indication of a successful festival announcement is when the website itself requests a brief rest before everybody can purchase tickets.
