24 July 2026 – Allah-Las Bring California Psych To Philadelphia

<a href="/tags/allah-las">Allah-Las</a> perform at Underground Arts in Philadelphia tonight during their current summer tour. The Los Angeles band bring a catalogue shaped by psychedelic rock, surf-pop melody and the dusty warmth of records that seem to have spent several decades inside a sunlit car.

Recent single ‘Pt. Conception’ continues their connection to Californian landscapes, but the group’s appeal has always travelled comfortably beyond the coast. Underground Arts offers a more enclosed setting where the guitars can become hazier and the rhythm a little heavier than the music’s relaxed surface initially suggests. A summer Friday-night show built around psychedelic guitar music is a sensible plan. The only risk is emerging afterward convinced that Philadelphia has somehow acquired an ocean.
