Renowned electronic musicians Bibio and Dorian Concept have officially released their collaborative album Answers through Warp Records, merging two singular production philosophies into an inspiring instrumental dialogue. British producer Stephen Wilkinson (Bibio) contributes his trademark tape-saturated guitars and organic field recordings, while Austrian virtuoso Oliver Thomas Johnson (Dorian Concept) layers expressive keyboard improvisation and modular synthesis.
The thirteen-track collection features compositions including "Womb Glow", "Lichen Trip", "Shame", "Pigeon Harp", "Hammock Portal", and "Pomegranate". Born from shared interests in tactile audiovisual gear, the project took shape across long-distance file exchanges between Wales and Vienna.
Five accompanying short visual pieces created using mixed analogue and digital formats extend the record's aesthetic world, highlighting the warm humanity underpinning their sound.
Answers stands as a testament to the magic of unhurried cross-border collaboration, proving electronic music can be deeply contemplative without losing physical resonance. Discover more ambient and electronic works in our ambient section.
