American indie-rock titans Big Thief have launched the Big Thief Live Archive, an interactive digital vault of pristine concert recordings documenting the band's ever-shifting live performances. The platform debuts with ten full-length shows and will expand with a newly added performance on the second Tuesday of every month.
The soundboard recordings were captured by front-of-house engineer Alice Wilder and monitor engineer Aleda Deroche, with mixing mastered by 4AD engineer Fabian Prynn. Beyond passive listening, fans can construct bespoke setlists drawing from different shows and eras, inspired by drummer James Krivchenia's affection for Grateful Dead tape trading.
Alongside the platform launch, Big Thief shared a live rendition of "Incomprehensible", recorded at Dublin's 3Arena in April 2026. The song originally appeared on their 2025 double-album Double Infinity.
Big Thief emphasise that their songs transform significantly on tour, turning each show into an unrepeatable creative statement. Explore more live music developments in our news archive.
