15 July 2026 – Ceremony Walk Through A ‘Dark Summer’

<a href="/tags/ceremony">Ceremony</a> have released ‘Dark Summer’, the latest single from their upcoming seventh album ‘Tell Me Your Dream’, arriving on 7 August. The song finds the California band leaning into <a href="/genres/post-punk">post-punk</a>, using sharp rhythm and controlled tension to examine the disturbing feeling of dread appearing in the middle of otherwise brilliant sunshine.

That contrast gives the track its identity. Summer is normally sold as a season of carefree brightness, but ‘Dark Summer’ recognises that anxiety does not check the weather forecast before arriving. The song moves between darkness and light, creating something disorienting yet strangely beautiful.

It is suitable listening for a beach, provided the beach is empty, the sky looks suspicious and somebody has unplugged the cheerful portable speaker nearby.
