CFCF lets L.U.V. glow like a soft electronic city after midnight

CFCF’s L.U.V. arrives on 12 June through BGM Solutions, and even the abbreviated title feels like something seen through a rain-streaked window. Michael Silver’s work as CFCF has long lived in the elegant overlap between electronic composition, pop memory, new-age atmosphere and late-night motion. L.U.V. seems positioned for that same kind of careful listening: music that can move, but does not need to shout; music that can reference emotional pop language without becoming obvious about it. In a week where several electronic releases are pushing toward club pressure, CFCF offers a different kind of velocity.
