28 September 2026 – Erasure Return With Wings Of Love and Their Twentieth Album Radio!! Radio!!

Synth-pop pioneers Erasure have announced Radio!! Radio!!, their first studio album in six years and twentieth overall, due March 12, 2027 through Mute. Andy Bell and Vince Clarke introduce it today with "Wings Of Love," a characteristically melodic synth-pop single concerned with love, loneliness and gratitude. Forty years after their debut, that familiar combination of Clarke's electronic precision and Bell's emotional openness remains remarkably difficult to counterfeit.

The interesting part, however, is that Radio!! Radio!! will apparently not rely exclusively on the duo's established synthesizer architecture. Clarke became increasingly interested in piano while making the album, drawing inspiration from Erik Satie, while acoustic guitar also enters portions of the record. The songs emerged during a period of grief and reflection, with themes including loss, injustice, hope and the peculiar depth of a songwriting partnership maintained across four decades.

Erasure will support the record with a twenty-date UK and European arena tour beginning in Cardiff on April 25, 2027, with Ladytron appearing as special guests on selected dates. "Wings Of Love" premiered on BBC Radio 2 and is available now. Plenty of veteran acts celebrate forty years by polishing the trophy cabinet and selling another greatest-hits package. Erasure have instead made album number twenty. Apparently nobody remembered to tell the synthesizers they were eligible for retirement.
