29 September 2026 – HOL1D4Y Look to Desert Skies for Psychedelic New Single Holotropic

HOL1D4Y have surfaced with "Holotropic," a psychedelic rock single inspired by desert stargazing and the expansive musical language associated with Pink Floyd. That description could easily be the starting point for seventeen minutes of guitar solo followed by somebody whispering about consciousness, but "Holotropic" appears more interested in translating the scale and wonder of its inspiration into a contemporary rock track.

The song has been highlighted among this week's strongest new rock releases, giving the band useful exposure during a crowded autumn release period. Its title references altered states and inward exploration, while the desert inspiration supplies the opposite perspective: enormous physical space, open sky and the useful realisation that human beings are very small indeed.

Psychedelic rock has enjoyed so many revivals that it should probably start paying council tax, yet new acts continue finding room inside the form by changing the production language around familiar ingredients. HOL1D4Y lean toward atmosphere and visual imagination rather than simply reproducing 1971 through newer amplifiers. "Holotropic" consequently feels like a song designed for headphones, night drives and questionable decisions involving remote landscapes. Whether it actually expands consciousness remains between the listener and their preferred philosophical framework. It does, however, provide another intriguing indication that psychedelic guitar music is having an unusually healthy 2026.
