American melodic-hardcore group If It Rains have officially released their debut EP All We’ve Got through Delayed Gratification Records. Spearheaded by Evan Stein (formerly of Anklebiter and Broken Vow), the group blends passionate, room-filling choruses with explosive guitar riffs reminiscent of classic Turning Point and early 2000s emotive hardcore.
The standout closing track "But This Life Is All We’ve Got" features guest vocals from hardcore icon Pat Flynn (Have Heart, Fiddlehead) alongside Sarah Tolley of Sign Language. Stretching past the six-minute mark, the track expands the genre's customary brevity into an ambitious, dynamic epic that shifts from quiet tension to overwhelming emotional release.
The release arrives as If It Rains prepare for upcoming East Coast performances aligned with Have Heart's reunion schedule. The EP reinforces that melodic hardcore remains one of underground music's most vital conduits for collective vulnerability.
