Jack White surprised audiences during his Nashville concert by reuniting The Raconteurs for a special encore, marking the group's first live performance together since December 2019.
The unexpected reunion occurred during the second of two consecutive sold-out nights at local venue The Truth, uniting White with co-frontman Brendan Benson, bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler. The quartet delivered a searing five-song set comprising "Steady, As She Goes," "Hands," "Level," "Broken Boy Soldier" and epic showstopper "Carolina Drama."
The Nashville performance coincides with Third Man Records' preparations for Broken Boy Soldiers XX, a twentieth-anniversary vault retrospective featuring unreleased session demos and early live audio. White is currently touring internationally behind his acclaimed July solo record Frozen Charlotte.
While no full reunion tour or new album has been announced, the seamless chemistry on stage proved that The Raconteurs' garage-rock power remains undiminished after nearly seven years away from the spotlight.
