katharsis explores emotional instability on the compilation changes

Copenhagen label katharsis releases changes on 11 May, a various-artists compilation centered on transformation, uncertainty and emotional movement. The full release brings together thirty tracks from artists across the label and beyond, making it feel less like a traditional label sampler and more like a shared emotional experiment.

The label frames the compilation around different experiences of change: new chapters, emerging feelings, unresolved states and forms shifting over time. Sonically, changes moves across abstract electronics, ambient zones, drone, deconstructed club, melodic experimentation, noise and emotional leftfield music.

The title could easily have become vague, but the compilation’s strength lies in how many different types of change it allows. Some tracks seem to move physically forward, while others hover in uncertainty. Some feel open and melodic, while others hold tension or discomfort.
