Matt Christensen lets The City In Heat breathe in slow, uneasy light

Matt Christensen’s The City In Heat does not sound like a record built to rush anyone. Released on 1 June, the Chicago artist’s album sits at the intersection of experimental dream pop, experimental pop, indie folk, singer-songwriter writing and slowcore.
