Phoebe Bridgers has made one of the biggest indie returns of 2026 with Lost Weekend, her first solo album since 2020’s Punisher.
Released on August 14 through Dead Oceans, the 16-song record arrives after a deliberately unusual campaign that included phone-free pop-up shows and a surprise one-dollar Madison Square Garden performance.
Lost Weekend expands Bridgers’ familiar intimate songwriting into a broader palette, with co-production from Jack Antonoff and Alex G and contributions from Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, Caroline Shaw, Christian Lee Hutson, Damien Jurado, Maya Hawke and others.
The album moves through grief, breakups, family memories and the exhilaration of new love while making room for ambient passages, country and bluegrass touches, vocoder treatments and more elaborate studio arrangements. “Lost Boys” served as the main pre-release introduction, while the album’s arrival was accompanied by a video for “I Can’t Wait.” Bridgers is also preparing a major arena tour, keeping Lost Weekend at the center of indie conversation throughout the autumn.
