Vancouver art-punk quartet PISS have shared a ferocious new single from their forthcoming debut album you made me / skin on linen, scheduled for October 30 through Sub Pop. The track carries the full title "Rote Zora. Resistance is Possible. Emma, no. 6, June 1984, pp. 39-41".

The song's lyricism draws directly from an archival 1984 interview with Rote Zora, a radical German feminist guerrilla organisation, originally printed in the feminist magazine Emma. Accompanied by a found-footage and animated video directed by Eila Vallevand, the track transforms historical documentary text into searing art-punk.

Fronted by vocalist Taylor Zantingh, PISS recorded the LP with producer Colin Stewart at Hive Creative Labs in January 2025. The single follows earlier abrasive tracks "blocking a scene you can't remember" and "time loop at hot slit".

Currently supporting Gilla Band across North America, PISS have also confirmed European appearances for 2027 including London's Scala and Primavera Sound. Find more experimental punk updates in our news archive.
