Swedish outfit Pom Femme have previewed their forthcoming debut album with "Black Sun White Noise," a lush new single that places dream pop, indie pop and atmospheric production into the same pleasantly foggy room. The song appeared among today's fresh independent releases and makes a persuasive introduction to a group interested in texture without forgetting that songs generally benefit from having melodies people can remember afterwards.

"Black Sun White Noise" carries the familiar ingredients of dream pop – suspended vocals, soft-focus guitars and an atmosphere suggesting somebody has left the smoke machine unattended – but there is enough rhythmic definition underneath to prevent the track from simply dissolving into ambience.
