Australian alternative-rock veterans Powderfinger have revealed the complete itinerary for their highly anticipated 2027 national reunion tour, confirming eighteen performances across six Australian cities between September and October.
The announcement follows last week's confirmation that Bernard Fanning, Darren Middleton, Ian Haug, Jon Coghill and John Collins would reunite after sixteen years away from full-scale touring. Rather than booking standard enclosed sports arenas, the band have chosen to perform inside a custom travelling stadium-sized big top combining concert acoustics with festival atmosphere.
The tour kicks off on September 3 at the Brisbane Showgrounds and travels through Cairns, Perth, Sydney and Adelaide before wrapping up in Melbourne on October 30. Powderfinger originally formed in Brisbane in 1989 and became one of the nation's definitive rock outfits, releasing seven studio albums and earning eighteen ARIA Awards with classics including "My Happiness," "These Days" and "On My Mind."
The band will personally curate Australian emerging support acts for every leg and partner with Mission Australia to assist vulnerable communities experiencing homelessness. Pre-sales commence October 14, with general ticket release starting October 19.
