Pretty Sick hide inside Anarchy and make home sound dangerous

Pretty Sick’s Anarchy enters the 17 June news cycle with exactly the sort of messy emotional weather the project does best. Sabrina Fuentes has always made music that feels like it has slept badly, smoked outside the venue and still somehow arrived with a hook. New single home2hide, co-produced with Oscar Scheller and Frost Children, points toward a second album built around instability, self-protection and the strange desire to disappear without fully leaving the party. The title is a perfect little contradiction. A home should be safe, but this one sounds like a hiding place, a trapdoor or a room where the walls know too much. Pretty Sick’s best work sits between slacker rock, grunge-pop and wounded glamour, and Anarchy already sounds like it may push that tension further. It is not chaos for aesthetic decoration. It is chaos with lipstick on and the bass turned up.
