Drawing from shoegaze, dream pop and slowcore, the track begins in a haze before warm guitars, rolling drums and Eadie Barrett's vocal countermelodies gradually push it toward a soaring saxophone conclusion. The band formed in April 2025 and recorded, mixed and mastered the single themselves using university studios and home equipment. 'I Kinda Love You' challenges the protective uncertainty contained in the word kinda. Love remains terrifying, but Salt Museum argue that eternal wondering may be worse.
