29 September 2026 – San Cisco Return From Their Two-Year Live Break With Miles Away and a New Australian Tour

Australian indie-pop favourites San Cisco are officially moving again. The Fremantle trio have announced the first leg of their Miles Away Regional Tour, their first run of live dates in more than two years, while also confirming that a new single called "Miles Away" will arrive on October 15. It will be Jordi Davieson, Josh Biondillo and Scarlett Stevens' first new music since 2024 album Under the Light, and Stevens is returning behind the drum kit after becoming a mother.

The first tour leg begins in Rockhampton on November 18 before travelling through Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, Newcastle, Wollongong and Canberra, with a second batch of dates promised. San Cisco have always possessed that dangerous Australian talent for writing songs that sound gloriously sunny until you notice somebody in the lyrics is emotionally falling apart, so a comeback after an extended gap is particularly welcome. Calling both the single and tour "Miles Away" also feels appropriately literal for a group about to spend weeks driving around Australia.

More importantly, this appears to be the start of an actual new chapter rather than a nostalgic victory lap. Two years away from the stage is enough time for an indie band to acquire several new synthesisers, approximately fourteen unfinished demos and at least one existential crisis. We will discover what San Cisco collected on October 15.
