6 November 2026 – Shumo AG Releases Young Boy Young Girl and Brings Teenage Dance-Pop Energy From Brisbane to Southeast Asia

Brisbane singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Shumo AG has released "Young Boy Young Girl", a new independent dance-pop single combining electronic production with playful storytelling about teenage romance. At fourteen years old, Shumo is developing an active musical career while continuing to write, perform and produce his own recordings.

The new composition explores the excitement and confusion surrounding a young boy's first crush, including the amusing misunderstanding that develops when his mother becomes suspicious of the relationship. Musically, the recording begins with Latin-influenced acoustic guitar before expanding into synthesizers, rhythmic percussion and prominent bass arrangements. The combination creates an energetic atmosphere without abandoning the innocence of its central story.

Shumo has already developed a substantial social-media following and collaborated with Indonesian musicians Batas Senja on "Iron Veins". His international activities have also included large live performances and opportunities to work with established Australian performers. A songwriting scholarship to America's Prodigy Camp and mentoring from Brisbane group Sheppard have provided additional support for his development. Following the single's release, Shumo is scheduled to perform in Jakarta and Bali between December 18 and 30, demonstrating the growing importance of Southeast Asia within his audience.
