Sónar closes Barcelona’s 2026 edition with techno, grime, legacy and sunrise stamina

Sónar 2026 reaches its final day on 20 June at Fira Gran Via, and the festival’s new single-site format makes the whole thing feel like one giant electronic organism. The wider lineup includes names such as Amelie Lens, Cabaret Voltaire, Charlotte de Witte, Kelis, Skepta, The Prodigy and WhoMadeWho live, with more than 100 acts spread across the three-day programme. What keeps Sónar important is that it does not treat electronic music as only nightlife. It frames it as technology, art, design, performance, research and city-scale ritual. The final day is where exhaustion and discovery often become the same thing: bodies still moving, systems still flashing, and Barcelona reminding everyone that electronic culture works best when it keeps mutating in public.
