Team Dresch announcing their first new album in 30 years is not simply a reunion story. It is a generational flare. Furthermore arrives on 18 September via Jealous Butcher Records and marks the Portland queercore pioneers’ first full-length since 1996’s Captain My Captain. Lead single One Song is framed as a love letter to younger queer people being dragged into struggle and to elders who have built defences after decades of working, caretaking and surviving. That framing gives the comeback real force. This is not nostalgia wearing a vintage punk shirt for the photo. It is a band with a history of making queer rage, humour, vulnerability and guitar volume feel like community infrastructure. Furthermore sounds like a message across time: the struggle changed shape, the joy did not die, and the amps still work.
