Paco Cathcart has returned to The Cradle moniker with plans for a new album, Get Yourself A Man & Other Love Songs, due October 1 as a self-release.
Cathcart, who has issued dozens of records under The Cradle name, released an album under their own name last year but is now switching back for this new eight-song set.
Lead single “Human Nature” establishes that the project is not aiming for polite singer-songwriter comfort, using horns, blunt questions and uneasy humour to explore gender, anger and self-scrutiny.
The record features Carmen Quill on bass, Ellie Shannon on French horn, and Tyler Kaneshiro on trumpet, available via Patreon ahead of physical cassette and Bandcamp rollouts.
