American alternative-rock heavyweight outfit The Pretty Reckless have unleashed an electrifying reimagining of their single "About You", enlisting Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Pat Smear for thunderous guest contributions. The composition originally surfaced on the group's fifth full-length album Dear God in June 2026, but this freshly recorded edition elevates the track's kinetic weight into an anthem.
Grohl contributes dynamic live drums, rhythm guitar, and backing vocals, while Smear adds blistering distorted guitar layers. Taylor Momsen delivers an impassioned lead vocal, duetting with Grohl during an explosive call-and-response bridge that fuses Momsen's bluesy grit with Foo Fighters' classic stadium-rock energy.
The collaboration was sparked following The Pretty Reckless' stadium tour supporting AC/DC, during which Foo Fighters stepped in to cover two dates impacted by logistics scheduling. Grohl subsequently jammed with AC/DC on stage, cementing a mutual camaraderie that led Momsen to reach out directly for the studio session.
The single lands ahead of The Pretty Reckless' headline European and UK tour kicking off in Madrid on November 9, with an Amsterdam performance slated for AFAS Live on November 23. Explore more hard rock and alternative features in our rock and metal directory.
