YHWH Nailgun compress the whole album statement into eleven impossible minutes

YHWH Nailgun’s new album Magazine is eleven minutes long, which is either ridiculous, brilliant or exactly the right amount of time for a band built on pressure. The experimental rock group recently signed to 4AD, and Magazine is set to arrive on 11 June with ten tracks packed into a runtime most bands would call one extended intro. That is the hook, but the real story is artistic confidence. In a music economy where albums are often inflated to game streams, YHWH Nailgun are doing the opposite. They are compressing the statement until only the nerve remains. The group reportedly debuted the whole thing in a brief C2C Festival NYC set, which makes the album feel less like a conventional release and more like a live detonation captured for repeat impact.
