Editorial Review & Analysis
Because the earcups are acoustically open to the room, the DT 990 PRO avoids internal air pressure buildup and boxy ear fatigue. Panning reverbs and EQ adjustments feel like they are floating in the physical room around you.
Who Is This Suitable For?
Mixing and mastering engineers, critical music listeners, and producers.
What to Consider Before Purchasing
- Open-back design leaks sound into the room; not suitable for vocal tracking near open mics.
- 250 Ohm impedance requires an audio interface or dedicated amp.
