AlexXito lets fantasma haunt GarageBand with sincere psychedelic fuzz

AlexXito’s fantasma lands on 22 June from Mexico City with a Bandcamp bio that is refreshingly unpretentious: an artist making music in GarageBand as a form of release, hoping listeners identify with the sincerity of it. That is a strong entry point because independent music does not always need a perfect studio mythology. Sometimes the roughness is the evidence. The tags sit around alternative, alternativa, indie rock, psychedelic rock, rock and roll, experimental rock and indie, which gives fantasma a nicely dusty emotional frame. A ghost is memory with unfinished business, and this track sounds like it belongs to that kind of space: distortion, confession, bedroom tools, city pressure and the feeling that a song can haunt even if it was built on a laptop.
