Melbourne punk-rock favourites Amyl and the Sniffers have announced a four-date Australian headline tour for February and March 2027, bringing their explosive live performances back to outdoor venues across the country. The tour begins February 26 in Brisbane as part of the On the Banks series before visiting Fremantle on February 28, Sydney's Bondi Beach on March 4 and St Kilda on March 7.

The announcement follows an extensive period of international touring that has helped establish the group as one of Australia's most recognisable contemporary rock exports. Rather than filling the supporting lineup with predictable international names, the band have assembled a rotating collection of Australian performers. Announced guests include WAAX, Southeast Desert Metal, GRUB, BARKAA, Xiao Xiao, Spike Fuck and Techno 666. The selection creates opportunities for audiences to discover musicians working across punk, alternative rock and other independent styles.

The tour also includes a charitable component, with five Australian dollars from every ticket allocated to selected organisations. An additional dollar from Sydney tickets will support local surf lifesaving clubs. Amyl and the Sniffers have developed their reputation through energetic performances, direct songwriting and an uncompromising attitude toward rock music. Their concerts are rarely associated with polite applause and carefully controlled audience movement.

The forthcoming outdoor dates should therefore provide an appropriately spacious environment for the band's particular interpretation of physical exercise. Presales begin October 14, with general ticket sales scheduled for October 16. Australian summer has apparently decided that sunscreen and earplugs should now be sold together.
