8 October 2026 – Sick Visor Turn an Old Toyota Camry Into a Pop-Punk Declaration of Independence

Melbourne duo Sick Visor release "'06 Camry" today, a fast and gloriously energetic pop-punk single inspired by vocalist Alex Moses packing his belongings into an ageing Toyota and driving approximately 1,800 kilometres from Brisbane to Melbourne. The journey eventually helped establish the circumstances in which Sick Visor formed, making the song something of an accidental origin story.

Moses and drummer-vocalist Katie Lovelock began the project in a Melbourne sharehouse in 2022, initially recording and producing their music independently. For "'06 Camry," however, they enlisted Frenzal Rhomb's Jason Whalley to engineer and produce at The Pet Food Factory studio in Sydney. The change encouraged the duo to prioritise live energy over endless studio refinement. The resulting track combines bright guitar riffs, rapid-fire momentum and the kind of chorus designed to make audiences forget they have work tomorrow.

Sick Visor have already earned Australian radio support and shared stages with Beddy Rays, The Terrys and Sly Withers. Their new single will be supported by October and November performances across Australia. Most songs about cars celebrate speed, romance or mechanical excellence; Sick Visor instead celebrate the moment an unreliable old vehicle becomes the means of changing your entire life.
