KennyHoopla has added NEW AMERICA to this week's release pile, bringing his restless alternative instincts back into focus. Few artists emerging from the current guitar revival have seemed particularly interested in obeying its boundaries, and KennyHoopla has consistently been one of the least willing to sit quietly inside a genre box.

Punk energy, indie-rock looseness and pop immediacy have all appeared in his work, often within touching distance of one another.
