22 October 2026 – Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Announce Burned and Share Fever of the Mind

Indie-rock trailblazers Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have announced Burned, their first new full-length studio album in over six years, arriving January 29, 2027, through CYHSY and Secretly Distribution. Songwriter Alec Ounsworth heralds the album with "Fever of the Mind", an expansive guitar anthem that channels the quirky urgency of the project's landmark early work while pushing into richer harmonic textures.

The album announcement arrives shortly after twentieth-anniversary celebrations for the group's self-titled 2005 debut, a cultural touchstone that demonstrated how independent musicians could bypass traditional label machinery in the dawn of music blogs. On Burned, Ounsworth channels two decades of artistic resilience into nine songs dealing with memory, renewal, and independent survival.

An extensive international tour accompanies the announcement, beginning in Istanbul in February 2027 and stopping at Amsterdam's Paradiso Tolhuistuin on February 16, before embarking across North America in late spring. Listeners seeking nostalgic guitar energy will find plenty to love in Ounsworth's soaring vocal performance.
