South London songwriter Clara Mann announces her forthcoming album 'Wishbone' and shares its lead single 'News From Home'. The title immediately evokes distance, memory and the strange emotional power of receiving updates from a place that continues existing after you leave it. News from home can be comforting, unsettling or filled with highly detailed information about somebody whose name you only vaguely recognise.

Mann's restrained songwriting style is well suited to that tension, allowing small observations to carry more weight than dramatic declarations. 'Wishbone' suggests an album concerned with desire, possibility and the fragile rituals people use when hoping life will move in a kinder direction. A wishbone promises luck, but only after dinner and a mildly competitive pulling ceremony.
