Dux Content turn Lifestyle into a remastered time capsule from PC Music’s strange first spark

Dux Content’s Lifestyle reissue lands on 25 June like a strange little file pulled from the original PC Music laboratory and cleaned just enough to reveal how weirdly prophetic it was. Before A. G. Cook became one of the great pop maximalists of the modern era and Danny L Harle built his own glossy emotional machinery, the pair were calling themselves audience entertainment specialists and treating pop as something between software, theatre and prank. The remaster adds bonus tracks Business Class and Rouge, with Lifestyle leading the new 2026 edition. Thirteen years later, the joke feels less like a joke. PC Music’s fingerprints are all over contemporary pop, from Charli xcx to experimental club culture, and Dux Content now sounds less like an odd side room and more like an early blueprint for a plastic-fantastic future that actually arrived.
