30 July 2026 – The Body Expand ‘Master, We Perish’

The Body release an expanded edition of 'Master, We Perish' on 31 July, revisiting their percussively focused 2013 recording with refreshed artwork and a selection of punishing rarities from their early years. Chip King and Lee Buford have spent decades dissolving the boundaries between doom, noise, industrial music and emotional distress that sounds capable of affecting local weather.

The original record emphasised blunt rhythm and overwhelming texture; the expanded version provides additional evidence from the duo's long campaign against comfortable listening environments. Reissues are often designed to make an old album look respectable on a shelf. The Body appear more interested in reopening the structure, finding several previously sealed rooms and allowing whatever was screaming inside them to join the tracklist.
