British experimental electronic group Factory Floor have announced One Trip, their first studio album in a decade, alongside two new recordings titled "Continuation" and "One Trip". The album is scheduled for November 27 through Phantasy Sound, with a vinyl edition following on December 4. The announcement marks an important return for a group whose uncompromising combination of electronic rhythms, industrial textures and experimental production helped establish their reputation within Britain's alternative electronic scene.

Original members Gabe Gurnsey and Nik Colk Void are joined by percussionist Joe Ward, restoring Factory Floor to a three-piece configuration. The group's renewed collaboration began following an invitation to perform at Montreal's MUTEK festival in 2024. That experience encouraged the musicians to explore the possibilities of working together again after years of individual creative activity.

"Continuation" represents the more expansive and euphoric side of their musical identity, while "One Trip" moves toward darker and more intense dancefloor territory. The forthcoming album contains ten compositions, including "Big Brain", "DruuuuM", "Buzz Saw", "Obsessed", and "Greedy". Factory Floor originally emerged from Britain's experimental underground before developing a sound that connected noise music with techno, acid and minimalist electronic production.

Their return is particularly interesting because contemporary electronic music has increasingly embraced the industrial textures and repetitive structures that the group explored during their earlier recordings. One Trip suggests that Factory Floor have no intention of returning merely to reproduce their past achievements. After ten years away from the album-release schedule, the group appear determined to make up for lost time. Fortunately, their approach to electronic music remains considerably more adventurous than simply pressing play and waiting for the smoke machine.
