Genesis Owusu turns the times into alt-pop urgency on REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE

Genesis Owusu releases REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE on 15 May via OURNESS, his third album and another ambitious step from one of alternative music’s most unpredictable performers. The Ghanaian-Australian artist has never been easy to file into one lane, and the new record appears to continue that refusal.

Drawing from neo-soul, alt-pop, synth-punk, deep funk and Brit rock, Owusu uses the album to reflect the times rather than escape them.
