21 July 2026 – Grandmas House Sink Into ‘Blue Oblivion’

Bristol trio <a href="/tags/grandmas-house">Grandmas House</a> share ‘Blue Oblivion’, the final single before their debut album ‘Baby You’re A Winner’ arrives in August. The song became a turning point in the band’s writing, proving they did not need to stay inside any predetermined post-punk or alternative-rock boundaries. That freedom can be heard in the balance between brightness and unease.

‘Blue Oblivion’ deals with love and loss, but it refuses to organise those feelings into separate colour-coded folders. Melody and abrasion sit together, while the track’s emotional movement suggests somebody trying to preserve a beautiful memory while already feeling it disappear.

Earlier singles established the album’s sharp personality; this one widens the frame and makes the debut feel less predictable. Grandmas House have discovered that a band’s identity does not become weaker when it changes shape. It becomes harder to summarise in one sentence, which is inconvenient for marketing departments but generally excellent for music.
