Grandmas House announce debut album Baby You’re A Winner

Grandmas House announced their debut album Baby You’re A Winner, due 21 August via Brace Yourself Records, and shared the title track. The album follows their 2025 EP Anything For You and looks set to expand their sound into something more layered, vocal-driven and emotionally broad.

The title track is described by the band as a rock-and-roll love anthem about seeing beauty in loved ones when they cannot see it themselves. That is a nice twist for a post-punk band: not just nervous energy and sharp guitars, but encouragement delivered with grit. Produced with Ali Chant, whose credits include PJ Harvey, Perfume Genius and Yard Act, the album appears to balance love, infatuation, grief, loneliness and existential crisis.

For a 28 May indie digest, Grandmas House are worth including because they represent the current UK guitar-band lane at its best: direct, scratchy, emotionally alive and able to move between sarcasm, tenderness and noise without needing to choose only one.
