Following the commercial breakthrough of 2023’s Volcano and the enduring success of “Back on 74,” Sunshine largely avoids a drastic reinvention and instead sharpens Jungle’s strengths: warm vocal stacks, elegant disco rhythms, funk basslines, polished percussion and arrangements built for movement.

Singles including “Carry On” and “The Wave” introduced a record whose sunny title is balanced by themes of distance, regret, nostalgia and longing. A substantial world tour is set to carry the album well beyond the summer release window.
