American indie-folk songwriter Lane Hartley has released his second album, No Home, through California imprint Royal Oakie Records. The record was conceived after Hartley relocated from Los Angeles back to his native North Carolina, settling in the vibrant creative enclave of Asheville.

Recorded live on the floor at Drop of Sun Studios with producer Adam McDaniel, the album features a six-piece ensemble including David Hartley (bassist of The War On Drugs), acclaimed harp virtuoso Mary Lattimore, and Seth Kaufman of Floating Action. This live, communal approach lends the music an organic warmth and dynamic spontaneity.

The title track confronts the elusive longing for geographical and personal belonging, capturing the bittersweet truth that moving across the country can change one's surroundings without extinguishing existential questions. The album is available digitally, on CD, and on limited vinyl.
