Celebrated Manchester alternative-rock and post-punk quartet PINS have ended a six-year hiatus by announcing their fourth studio album, If I'm Alive Now, Then I Was Dead, scheduled for release on February 12, 2027, through Haus of PINS. The record represents their first full-length collection since 2020's electro-tinged Hot Slick.
To mark the return, PINS have dropped lead single "All Over", a propulsive cut marrying driving post-punk basslines with girl-group harmonies and swaggering garage-rock guitars. Tracked at Resonance Studios in Stockport with engineer Joel Patchett (King Krule, Let's Eat Grandma), the song captures the band at their rawest and most direct.
Taking its evocative title from Sylvia Plath's poem Love Letter, the forthcoming album inspects existential mortality, creative renewal, and romantic longing. Having earned international acclaim across seminal albums Girls Like Us (2013) and Wild Nights (2015), as well as a 2017 collaboration with Iggy Pop, PINS prove their fiery spirit remains entirely intact.
The band are planning comprehensive UK and European headline tours for early 2027. Explore more great British guitar music in our indie rock directory and keep abreast of daily updates in our news section.
