Motorpsycho and Jello Biafra punch old political rage into hard-rock shape

Motorpsycho’s Punch featuring Jello Biafra arrives on 13 June with a backstory that gives it more weight than a routine cover. The song was originally written by Patrik Fitzgerald shortly after Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister, and Motorpsycho’s version was first recorded for a Crispin Glover Records tribute collection. Now it gets a fresh Bandcamp release, and the combination still makes sense: a politically charged song, a Trondheim rock institution and Biafra’s unmistakable vocal presence adding extra bite.
