Nikki Nair opens The Sick Dimension and insists this is normal house music

Nikki Nair’s The Sick Dimension announcement is already funny because the producer apparently thinks he is making normal house music. The rest of us may need a moment. Announced on 19 June, the four-track EP marks his debut on dh2 and follows 2025’s Violence Is The Answer. Nair has built a reputation by moving between UK breakbeat, garage, electro, techno and the kind of rhythmic mutations that make DJs grin and dancers question their knees. The Sick Dimension sounds like exactly the right title for his world: a place where old-school house is visible through the prism, but the glass is bent, cracked and probably vibrating. The Atlanta producer’s best work turns function into surprise. It can move a crowd, but it also seems to enjoy sneaking strange objects onto the dancefloor when nobody is looking.
