5 November 2026 – Star's Revenge Announce Second Album and Bring Geese and Sunflower Bean Connections Back to DIY Indie Rock

New York independent-rock group Star's Revenge have announced their second studio album Star's Revenge II, scheduled for November 27. The announcement accompanies new single "Don't Worry Dynamite", introducing another chapter in a project featuring musicians associated with two internationally recognised alternative bands.

Star's Revenge is led by guitarist and vocalist Emily Green of Geese and Olive Faber of Sunflower Bean. The lineup also includes drummer Christian Billard and bassist Jonny Ceballos. Their debut album arrived in 2022, before Geese achieved substantial international recognition, and the musicians have continued performing smaller independent concerts alongside their other commitments.

The forthcoming collection was recorded live to tape at Billard's home studio on Long Island, preserving an intentionally informal atmosphere. Its eleven compositions explore relationships, friendship and addiction through energetic arrangements influenced by classic power pop and American college rock. The group's musical references include Talulah Gosh and The Replacements, reflecting an interest in melodic guitar music that prioritises personality over elaborate studio perfection. Tracks include "Clean", "Don't Worry Dynamite", "Teenage Daydream", "Sorry", "Fine Line" and "Last Cigarette". Four consecutive concerts at Brooklyn's Hart Bar are scheduled for December 28–31, with different supporting artists appearing each evening.

Star's Revenge II demonstrates how musicians associated with successful groups can maintain connections with smaller independent scenes. Apparently the best antidote to becoming internationally recognised is to return to somebody's home studio and make a wonderfully untidy guitar record.
