Sugar keep looping the AI dread until the guitars start snarling back

Bob Mould, David Barbe and Malcolm Travis are no longer simply trading on nostalgia; they are adding new songs to the Sugar bloodstream after more than three decades. Keep Looping is short, charged and agitated, with Mould pointing directly at the weird love-hate relationship between San Francisco, AI revivalism and the social and environmental costs of the technology boom. That subject could easily become stiff protest-rock, but Sugar know how to put anxiety inside power-pop muscle. The riff snarls, the song moves fast, and the title catches the modern curse perfectly: dopamine, drumbeat, lie, repeat. Sometimes a song needs less than two and a half minutes to say the loop is broken because the loop is working exactly as designed.
