Liverpool indie rock favourites The Wombats have announced a major UK and European tour celebrating the twentieth anniversary of their breakthrough debut album, A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation.

Originally released in 2007, the record helped define the British indie-rock revival with frantic rhythms, catchy guitar hooks and self-deprecating romantic lyricism. Band members Matthew Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen and Dan Haggis will perform the album in its entirety during the 2027 concerts, alongside a selection of fan favourites from their four subsequent studio releases.

The UK tour begins April 10 at Manchester's O2 Victoria Warehouse and features performances at London's O2 Academy Brixton as well as an intimate hometown celebration at Liverpool Arts Club. The band noted that returning to these songs reflects the whirlwind formative years of sleeping in tour vans and playing pub circuits before international breakthrough.

Pre-sale tickets open Wednesday, October 14, followed by general on-sale on Friday, October 16. Two decades on, The Wombats prove that angular indie anthems and energetic social observation remain as vibrant as ever.
