British alternative-rock quartet unpeople release debut album we are unpeople today through SharpTone Records, following several years of rapidly growing attention within the international heavy-music scene.
The twelve-track collection includes "clouds," "friends," "the garden," "blueprints," "haunted," "waste" and "as you were," combining powerful guitar arrangements with large melodic choruses and occasional post-hardcore intensity in modern alternative rock and metal. The band formed in 2023 and have already appeared alongside Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins and Coheed and Cambria.
The band's name reflects an interest in reclaiming language historically used to dismiss or devalue particular groups of people. Rather than embracing exclusion, their songwriting emphasises individuality and shared humanity. we are unpeople demonstrates that heavy music is at its most potent when supported by memorable, open-hearted songs.
