wing! makes GET UP AND GO OUT sound like motion therapy

wing!’s GET UP AND GO OUT does exactly what the title tells you to do. Released on 11 June as the second preview of the upcoming EP WORTH SCANNING FOR, the track is built from chopped-up breaks, ambient synths and a continued collaboration with bassist Kai Charlton and drummer Joe Killick. That combination gives the music a live-wire feel without losing its electronic construction. The title could be read as motivational advice, but the track’s appeal is more interesting than that. It suggests movement as a way out of internal fog: drums pushing the body forward, bass giving the thought somewhere to land, synths opening the ceiling a little.
