Bazooka! Fest will return to Brooklyn on 22 and 23 August with a lineup designed to connect influential independent musicians with a younger generation of underground bands in indie rock.
Destroyer’s Dan Bejar and The Magnetic Fields’ Stephin Merritt lead a programme that also includes Joanna Sternberg, Times New Viking, Sad13, Colleen Green, Cloud Nothings, Kiwi Jr., 2nd Grade, Asher White and Chime School.
Performances will be divided between The Meadows and The Wood Shop, preserving the intimacy that can disappear when independent music is moved into oversized festival spaces. Founded in 2025 by former Matador A&R director Jake Whitener, Bazooka! was inspired by carefully curated gatherings such as All Tomorrow’s Parties and Athens Pop Fest. Its intergenerational structure makes Bazooka! one of August’s most distinctive events.
