Belfast post-punk and electronic project Chalk have released "Heaven and Hell", an ambitious double single that pairs ferocious dance-punk arrangements with an innovative multi-platform interactive narrative. "Heaven" features vocals from Sarah Barthel of American electronic-rock duo Phantogram alongside producer cosign, while "Hell" plunges into the menacing industrial soundscapes that define the duo's live reputation.

The double A-side marks Chalk's first recorded output since their critically praised debut album Crystalpunk, released earlier this year. Rather than treating the tracks as standalone audio cuts, Ross Cullen and Luke Niblock created a bespoke interactive website where listeners navigate gamified spiritual realms, uncovering hidden challenges, unreleased visual materials, and alternate mixes.

Accompanying the release is a theatrical double music video helmed by director Benedict Goddard, structured like vintage grindhouse cinema with a stylized intermission dividing the dual pieces. The narrative explores moral liminality, modern spiritual exhaustion, and fallen angels trapped in metropolitan decay.

The release arrives as Chalk prepare to open for Fontaines D.C. on their upcoming British and European arena tour, introducing their visceral blend of techno velocity and gothic post-punk to massive audiences.
